Plot

Viggy Potter needs to save the world from the wrath of the mighty snake 'Nagini'. To defeat the snake he has to crawl the dungeon filled with monsters and dark forest haunted by ghosts. But don't worry, he will find magical potions that will help him cast spells and destroy the enemies on his path.

Jams & Themes

• GDFG's Monthly Game Jam #12: Leave Something Behind - The potions collected in each level is left in the same level. When the player 'Viggy' moves to the next one, he cannot carry the potions with him.
• DOS Games End of the Year Jam 2021 - The game is purposely made using 8-bit art to give the feel of the initial DOS and NES games.
• Finally Finish Something 2022 - Finally finished this old-style Harry Potter like game.
  
• koyima's Nostalgia Jam - Made a classic 90s looking like game.
• Gift Jam 2021 - This game was gifted to my nephew on his b'day. His birthday theme was "Harry Potter".

Overview

"Viggy Potter and The Wrath of The Snake" is a 8-bit semi-roguelike game where the main goal of the game is to defeat the mighty snake 'Nagini'. The game has 5 levels. The movement of the player is non-grid based and it is done purposely to introduce some difficulty in the gameplay. You need to manually align yourself to the grid and then move quickly, to dodge the dangers (monsters/ghosts/etc).

Controls

• WASD or Arrow Keys to move
• LMB/Enter/Space to cast spell
• R to restart
• ESC to quit
• Virtual Controls are available to play the game on mobile/tab
