Plot
Your girlfriend is kidnapped by the "Evil Lord", rescue her before it is too late. And if you dare, defeat the "Evil Lord" by reaching him through the forbidden region crawling with dangerous creatures.
Theme - 50% is enough
50% of gameplay and 50% of screen area is enough to complete the game and rescue your girlfriend. But if you want to go beyond 50%, then you get a challenging gameplay, more fun and access to secret levels. What will you choose?
Overview
"Taken" is a partial grid-based game where the main goal of the game is to rescue your girlfriend from evil clutches of the "Evil Lord". The movement of the player is non-grid based and it is done purposely to introduce some difficulty in the gameplay. You need to manually align yourself to the grid and then move quickly, if want to dodge the dangers (spikes/creatures/etc).

It looks cool but unfortunately I couldn't move after the Home Screen
Sorry for the late reply, I saw the comment today. After the home/start screen, you need to press the level button to start ie. button "1".

Man I love this game. Shocking you made it in just 3 hours. Only suggestion would be to maybe tune to spike hatboxes as most of my deaths occurred when I easily had a dozen or so pixels between my and them.

I thought this game was awesome, very addictive. I had to complete it! Very good job indeed. Also, the princess looks familiar, used her in a game jam a couple of weeks ago :) :https://dutchlish.itch.io/balloonacy - Good work!
